About the chef
Master chef of Great Britain Charlie Ratcliffe has had over 15 years fine dinning experience working in most of the award winning restaurants in Derbyshire, ranging from two rosettes to michelin starred. He is passionate about sourcing his ingredients personally from local suppliers and markets to ensure they are of the highest quality.
He provides a level of personalised service not possible to achieve in a traditional restaurant environment and is also able to use small local suppliers specialising in rare breeds, who are not able to supply local restaurants due to the high level of quantity typically required by a restaurant. He purchases all of his ingredients specifically for each menu for each occasion, ensuring the best and most appropriate local suppliers are used each time. It also means that, unlike a typical restaurant he is able to use the ingredients straight away, in order to use them at their freshest.
